So...I went to Scotland
And all I got was...
It is becoming apparent that there is an evil force at work in this world. A force of power, and of terror. And it's sole target is...
To prevent me from getting to regionals on time.
Central :
inquis delayed 2 1/2 hours on M4. Arrived late
South-East : Lorry shed it's load on M25, causing 20 mile queue. Arrived late.
Scotland : M6 closed for 6 hours, got delayed on to rush hour around Manchester. Arrived late.
It took 12 hours for me to get to Glasgow on Friday. And I arrived too late for the Sabbat game (one of the two I was intending to play over the weekend).
Anyway, met up with
kdrugan and co and went back to flat. I stayed awake until I was sure that I wasn't the only person to be snoring in the room (in fact, I wasn't even going to be the LOUDEST snorer in the room) and went to sleep.
Woke up on Saturday, headed in to the venue pausing only at ASDA to get healthsome food. Had scheduled meeting, which I think went well. Then CA... As I think I've mentioned, I've given up playing in Regional CA games, because I tend to need to know what's going on. Um....in this case, I offered a pithy and biting critique of the Council of Princes, by falling asleep in the corner of the room and starting snoring until Rik G woke me up because I was disturbing the meeting (blush). Sorry folks...it was just too warm (sotto voce) and dull (end sotto voce).
Went back to flat with
aglokulo after game and (after getting snippy with Mark) went to sleep.
Woke up on Sunday, went in to Mage game. Venue was probably too small for Mage game, but at least I got to play TRELAWNEY THORPE god of mages. Didn't really get involved in the plot apart from jumping to entirely erroneous conclusions and attempting to pull someones face off...
Hell, at least I got 3 hours of roleplay in. Drove home listening to AFN radio bringing me the [shhshhhs] at the Chicago Bea [shhhhhshhhshh]. (for those of you that don't know, AFN is broadcast from Germany and the signal is inconsistent). Having said that, there were spots when I heard it clearly.
Talked on line for a bit in front of the telly, then went to bed.
