Well, I did it. And here's the write up.

Friday Night : Solent C/A Character : Saul the Malkavian
Wandered around being openly malicious. Talked to a Toreador. Ok...Menaced a Toreador. Watched as the previous Prince, Gabrielle Tarison failed to deal with an invasion of frogs (of the hopping kind). Applauded to ascension of a new Prince (OK, a returnee) Nathanial of the Crows.

RP Crit : As I'd been up since 4:30 am, I was a bit all over the place. It's hard to come up with goals for Saul at the moment, so I tend to just wander around being unpleasant. 5/10

Saturday Afternoon : Solent Changeling Character : Mays the Satyr
New character (WaG being time-frozen). It's always interesting playing a new character, you get to feel your way into it. Mays turned out to be much more "one of the good guys" than I was expecting. In game, there was a fair at Oakthorpe. The old (NPC) count stood down and Aiken was appointed in his place. A Heracusphynx menaced the fair, with great urbanity. Mays wandered around writing things in his notebook, drunk real ale and just amused himself.

RP Crit : Not bad. All new characters wander around a bit in the characterization, but I found myself getting to grips with Mays fairly quickly. I'm going to enjoy playing him. 7/10

Saturday Evening :ST Reading C/A
We've been running "plot lite" for a couple of months with decent results. The result of tonights game was not exactly what I'd been expecting, mostly due to the appearance of Carlotta. It's hard to predict what will happen next, and I feel a bit hampered as what I think should happen could be regarded as unfair or victimisation. I guess one of the plusses of being in the Cam is that I can refer this kind of thing upwards, to protect against accusations of unfairness. ST score 6/10

Sunday Afternoon : Reading Changeling Character : William ap Gwydion, Sidhe
The flight of the Defiant. I'll leave stuff vague, as I don't want to give away plot. I'll just say it's one of the few times that I've been _shocked_ in a game.

RP Crit : Absolutely all over the place at the start. I really struggled to find the character....The ending, however, was special, and I was pleased with my portrayal. Overall, 5/10 for the last half hour, 8/10.

Sunday Evening : Oxford Garou/Mage Character : Slides Thru Cracks, BoneGnawer
Arrived late, due to the overrun of the Changeling game and the fact that the road that the directions said to use wasn't labelled at the junction. Nice town Oxford. Thouroughly enjoyed driving round it. Again and again. STC is a windup merchant and nearly caused a great deal of trouble. Oh well.

RP Crit : Hmm. STC is the character I find easiest to play, at the moment. However, he usually sits just the right side of the line, but he crossed it at least once and probably twice on Sunday. I'll put it down to tiredness and cope with the IC results IC, but it was disappointing, particularly after I'd got off to a decent start with some nicely placed comments and sharp remarks. 6/10

Overall, I really enjoyed the weekend. Good games and nice people are a heady mix. I'm sorry things didn't go differently at Reading Changeling though.

Que sera sera, whatever's IC's IC....
