A, of band and Bridge fame, bought The Best Air Guitar Album In The World III. This led us, obviously, into discussing what would be on

Thus far, I have

Foreigner - I Wanna Know What Love Is
John Parr - St. Elmo's Fire

Now i need your suggestions - remember, this is the Most Generic...it doesn't get on if it's just you not liking it. And it doesn't not get on if you do like it...

Are you defining "generic" as unassuming or unspectacular in this instance?

I had a brief does-not-compute moment when writing my first reply to this, which went off into a discussion on the nature of averages, definitive forms, human beauty and socioeconomic statistical misrepresentation, and it was probably more interesting than this one, but wholely tangential.

Blah.

I think more...un-ground-breaking, crowd pleasing, perhaps formulaic, and cheap.

Freebird is too long, at least the Molly Hatchet version. When I saw them live about 12 years ago, it was at least 15 minutes long. ;o)

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabame would fit.

Indeed! I was a bit shocked when Chris mentioned that he'd shared a house with you. It all felt very small worldy.
