Walt Price- Director

Academy Award and Emmy nominated Director Walt Price began his career in television, doing episodes of such hits as "Bronstein & Lonergan", "Vice Squad" and "The Gaffer". He then went on to direct and produce the Emmy award winning 5 part series The Lincoln Bedroom. He followed that with one of the biggest hits of the 80's "Young Turks". This edgy drama broke new ground and forever changed the meaning of the word "koosh".

After a 5 year run of Turks, Walt teamed with producer and longtime friend Marty Rossen for his first theatrical film, Breach of Tort, a legal thriller starring Chet Carter and Nina Stanson. Respected for his willingness to take risks: Walt has since directed a wide range of films from the bittersweet comedy Moping, Montana to the action hit Pigtails of Fury starring the Olsen twins. Yet no film defines Walt's fearless creativity better than last year's breakout hit Ghandi 2 starring Bob Barrenger. Widely hailed as "The most daring sequel ever"- this tale of the reincarnation of the pioneer of peaceful protest, earned Walt his first Academy Award nomination and Best Director honors at The Stuttgart Film Festival. The Old Mill is Walt Price's 4th movie with producer Marty Rossen. The two are longtime friends and collaborators. Extremely superstitious, Walt never goes on location without his lucky pillow.

There was a TV Series called "The Gaffer" back in the early 80s with George Cole in it. That really threw me.
