[Politics] [Media]
The Daily Express today leads with
"Enough is Enough, Mr Blair - Why the Daily Express Is Taking The Historic Decision To Back The Conservatives"
What on earth? "Is taking"? The Daily Express? Staunch left-wing socialist rag that it is, the abandonment of the Labour government is a shocking betrayal of its roots in the working class.
Yesterday, The Sun ran with 97% of Sun Readers Oppose New EU Constitution... had the other 3% bought the wrong newspaper? Maybe copies of Le Monde ran out...
It is often stated that a country gets the politicians (anodyne, limited and scared of the media) and the media it deserves. I can't quite imagine what crime we've committed to deserve the Express and the Sun.
And the Mirror.
And the Mail.
And especially the Daily Star (News is only printed in fits).
