I had a good weekend, spoiled by a bit of a fumble at the end. [1]

On Friday I rushed around making the car more legal than it had been. A new tyre, and a passed MOT test (bringing the grand "first time passes" total of my life to 2) and a new tax disc means that driving is less jittery now.

[livejournal.com profile] taimatsu and I headed west to Wales. Note for future reference; The M4 around Swindon, Bristol and Cardiff is sucky. Still, we managed to reach the campsite at a reasonable time, and set up the tent in the just-about-light. Some hours later, [livejournal.com profile] riksowden and co arrived.

The weekend was good, and I had a fun time, though the disadvantage of playing an uncommunicative and taciturn character is that it's hard for them to meet and greet new people.

Things I learnt over the weekend...

1) Running in sand is hard work
2) I need to join a gym
3) Some people need "a brew" before they do anything.
4) [livejournal.com profile] taimatsu really doesn't like being cold.
