Just a minor point!

These awards are not voted for by the website, this is how you
nominate someone. Could people stop embarrassing the UK Cam by
hammering Eric the Penguin nominations in - it won't make him any
more likely to win.

This doesn't mean, btw, that you can't nominate the same person that
someone else has, especially if you have something new to add to
what's already been said.

For example

Fred Housego Member of the year Fred is really helpful to new
players, and did quite a lot of work writing a guide to our domain.

And you wanted to add how Fred had helped you when your character was
killed, that would be fine...

I nominated Mel for Member of the Year.

I tried to get him for coordinator of the year a few years ago. I think 10 years of service needs rewarded in my eyes.

But im sure Eric has given just as much to the society.

I wrote a post saying pretty much the same thing actually.

And then there's Tracey, Boyd, EUP, Isi etc

LOADS of people, all of whom deserve it more.

Hell - Mr Pleb the player who turned up and made everyone have a better night by screwing up right royally deserves it more, IMHO

(As a FYI: Dundee is the longest running Cam game. Stoke folded twice, manchester twice, Dundee Never folded):)

They all deserve some recognition. People like me have our spotlight, they never have, but deserve it.

And on mr pleb the player, i do remember one player that kept bidding negatrive physicals agaisnt themselves. They would be like

"I quickly jump over the table, but i am too clumsy, so fall on my face"

That is role playing with sheet, and just having fun.

I miss fun.

that's what I said in my post - nominate not someone in a position necessarily, but the person who makes the game better - mentors, helpers etc.

*laughs* I like that Mr Pleb. Or the one who, being brand new, overhears something and brings down 3 years worth of elder plotting just by blurting it out cos nobody noticed him, or they all assumed the new player wouldn't notice them *grin* seen that happen - new players character was THE most hated ICly, and he was instantly involved with the game.

Anbd yeah, not played for so long because it STOPPED being fun
