One thing that does wind me up from time to time :-

Plot hogs.

I don't really care if your justification is "my character would do it" - if you actively attempt to cut other people out of the game or to monopolise STs and you do so repeatedly - then as far as I am concerned, your card will be marked "Does not play well with others."

Paranoia induced question

was that aimed at me at all?? I hope not but i know that I can be an "active" player so might have done it without noticing. If so I'd like to know so that I dont do it again.

Plot is for other people

As a player I have always assumed the correct solution to this is to create my own plot.

"It doesn't matter what David plays. He can create an international incident with a box of choclates." - John Condon.

I hate this too. But nowhere near as much as I did when I was an ST. I used to try to catch out the worst culprits by giving them something time-consuming to do, then flinging the fun plot at whoever was left.
Or at least I did when I was being a good ST (which I will grant wasn't exactly all the time).

You do plot a lot, but, to be fair, you plot with regard to your character's own affairs. You don't take plot mean't for "general consumption" and cut out other player characters.

Not guilty, m'lord.

anything in particular spark this comment (thinks slightly guiltily about a section of 'ling regional.)

Couldn't agree more, its a co-operative hobby and the way to get ahead is to involve as many as possible, not exclude. That's be you player or ST.

hogs

Ahhh He mentioned plot....

*Runs and hides*

Actually I do agree plot hogs are horrible things, it is one of the things that often mean that I don't do anything in a game because I will start explaining something to an ST only to have a plot hog wander over and listen to what I am saying and jump in saying you can't do that.
