I never thought I'd say this.
Grim was right.
I've got an upset member on my hands, I'm pissed off, an issue disappears off to absolute stratospheric levels...because someone couldn't be bothered to drop me an email prior to calling down lightning.

(As an irrelevant aside that may succeed in further annoying the owner of this fine journal without good cause, are you likely to still be around in Brum on Friday? You must come to Edward's No8 if so, although I'll be busy DJing (unless they've sacked me for having a week off or something...) -- but there's a classic rock room, a goff room, and an extremely cool emo/hardcore/punk/ska room to enjoy...)

Tell Rik I'll, um, shave his beard or something. Or, just inform him that he'll be able to drink beer, purchase pie should he so wish, and dance to his sort of music </dismissive tone>, all in good company and with minimal verbal abuse from my good self.

You're getting more and more like Grim.
Infact... *Peels off rubber mask from Robs face revealing...*
Oh, it, er... wasn't a mask. Sorry.
Erm... ooohh... that;ll be nasty, and i'll itch when it starts to scab over. Just don't pick it.

What, the NC gets involved in things?
Huh. More proof why people shrug and say "UK Officers", I guess.
But I'm willing to be surprised...
Re: What, the NC gets involved in things?
I saw no attack on you on UK-General. I saw an assertion and a counter-assertion.
I also invited anyone who had a problem with me to let me know. Frankly I'd prefer to be told directly than indirectly, but there you go.
Re: What, the NC gets involved in things?
"Don't believe everything you read. Especially from this source. I count about five or six factual inaccuracies or 'economies with the actualitae' in this."
Heh. Nothing like being called a liar, publically, I guess.
*shrug* And I was in the process of writing you... but what's the point? Would an email from me saying "No, I really think you should abide by the listmod policy" change anything? No? Didn't think so. :)
Maybe it's just me. Maybe the years of running into problems from y'all's side of the pond have burnt me out. But I don't see anything changing. Y'all are going to do things the way y'all want to do them, and devil take the hindmost. So what's the point in raising objections, anymore? It's all been done before.
Figures...
You get unsubscribed without notice.
Hrm. And people wonder where I get my impression of your average UK officer from.
Re: Figures...
Re: Figures...
And... whoever did it... well, if they had the power to do so, then it was in their rights to do so. And I understand.
But doing it without even dropping a "I'm taking you off, and this is why..."
I dunno. Tacky, to me. :)
Ah, well.
