C'est Une Livejournal Entry Magnifique
Well, maybe.
I thought about putting that meme up, but realised that, once I'd removed the questions I didn't really care what answer people gave, it came down to "Do you have a crush on me?" and that's not really a politic way to ask that. I suppose "Do you think I have a crush on you?" is interesting as well. (For significant portions of my friends list, the answer is "in some way, at some time, in some cases, maybe"
Today is boring and dull, and I want to go home. However, as I'm paid to be here, I have to be here.
/me thinks.
OK.
How about this for a meme?
1) When and where were you happiest?
2) How long did it last?
3) What's the most astounding thing you've ever seen?
4) What's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?
5) What things do you enjoy that the majority of your friends would look down upon?
6) Imagine the perfect evening. What are you doing?
7) Imagine the perfect achievable evening if the evening was tonight (i.e. one that doesn't involve being inconceivably rich, or in Paris). What are you doing? (i.e., what would you do tonight if you didn't have other plans/commitments/duties)
8) What's your favourite book ever, and why?
9) Have I ever had a crush on you?
10) Have you ever had a crush on me?
:)

2) How long did it last? - not long enough!
3) What's the most astounding thing you've ever seen? -
4) What's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?
5) What things do you enjoy that the majority of your friends would look down upon? - I can't think, but then I can't think of something that most LJ friend would look down on me for - erm, the occasional barbera cartland style book perhaps?
6) Imagine the perfect evening. What are you doing? - lovely food, lovely weather, and lovely hubbie with me - doing whatever we feel like (maybe wandering along a beach having had a perfect meal)
7) Imagine the perfect achievable evening if the evening was tonight (i.e. one that doesn't involve being inconceivably rich, or in Paris). What are you doing? (i.e., what would you do tonight if you didn't have other plans/commitments/duties)
- going to Heathrow Hilton Brassarie for one of their delux buffet meals with wine (we would get a taxi home maybe) and snugling up together afterwards.....
8) What's your favourite book ever, and why? - LotR, cause I could take it to a desert island, and find a love story, a heroic story, a tragedy a philosopy and a comic romp somewhere inside. No it isn't the greatest ever written :)
9) Have I ever had a crush on you? No
10) Have you ever had a crush on me? No
Fuller answers to follow but....

1) In a momentary sense, I couldn't say. In a general sense, the second year of 6th form, although I didn't realise it at the time.
2) A year, coincidentally.
3) Possibly the locally infamous "Sticky Vicky" in Benidorm. How do people discover they can do those sorts of things?
4) This is a really hard question to answer. I tried breaking it down into most beautiful person, object and place, but I'm still inundated with options and I can't choose between them all.
5) Possibly some of my more eccentric musical choices.
6) Enjoying the company of my friends, or possibly the company of a pleasantly receptive female. Perhaps even both.
7) Go and visit one of my pockets of friends (assuming they also magically have all their plans removed; at the moment they all seem very busy).
8) I was talking about this with someone last weekend. We eventually came to the mutual conclusion that anyone who can answer this question without a lot of hesitation doesn't read enough books. I'm a natural critic, and as such find faults in every book I read. There aren't any perfect books, but there are a lot of really good ones.
9) Doubtful.
10) Even more doubtful.

2) How long did it last? Well, so far, nearly ten years. Though not absolutely continuously.
3) What's the most astounding thing you've ever seen? Termessos
4) What's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? The Charioteer at Delphi
5) What things do you enjoy that the majority of your friends would look down upon? Gardening, reading cookbooks.
6) Imagine the perfect evening. What are you doing? Sitting in a cafe on a high cliff, somewhere in the Eastern Med, drinking a beer and watching the sunset over the sea and mountains.
7) Imagine the perfect achievable evening if the evening was tonight (i.e. one that doesn't involve being inconceivably rich, or in Paris). What are you doing? (i.e., what would you do tonight if you didn't have other plans/commitments/duties): Just me and Ashley in a quiet beergarden in a country pub with gourmet food and an overnight stay to look forward to.
8) What's your favourite book ever, and why? Probably the Star Pit. Though it's a novella rather than a book. Why? That's difficult. It's certainly not unflawed. I like the ideas in it, I adore the way Delany writes.
9) Have I ever had a crush on you? I doubt it.
10) Have you ever had a crush on me? No. Though I think you're a nice bloke.
