It didn't take long - I don't know much about Turkish drummers -
But it made me think of Germany and the guy who sold me cigarettes
Who'd been in the Afghan secret police
Who made the observation
That it's hard
To live
Then I was reminded of the proprietor of a Vietnamese restaurant in Quebec who used to be head of the secret police in Da Nang - and it occurred to me I was thinking about all this stuff to keep from thinking about something else... Isn't that just what secret police are all about???
I'm being avoidant. There's something I want to do, and I just can't get around to starting it. Gah. So I keep on finding other things to do...hmm...knuckle down and start typing time.
In other news, my BESM character now has magic powers (TM) and I've spent points on her.
On Sunday night I had my best night ever on BridgeClublive (56% across 14 boards and some really sweet play including successfully using Astro).

And many MANY moons ago I thought all goths were sad skinny teens in black who wore too much make-up, dyed their hair black and listened to depressing screechy music and went around thinking they looked cool and writing bad poetry.
Oh, the lost naivity :)
Admitedly I thought that as a plump blond teenager who loved bright colours and rock music and sci-fi/fantasy.
Hmm, somthings just don't change - Ok, I'm not a teenager anymore.
Maybe we should start a thread on all the odd ideas we had as kids? I sure had a few.
