Well...well..well...

A long time since last post. Actually, that's a bugle thing.

On Friday, H and I went to a wedding of one of my childhood friends (one of three sisters who lived up the road from us) It was really good. H and I are definitely having a live band at our wedding. There was no comparison to a DJ. Had some bad news late Sunday though. The Grandfather of the bride died on Sunday. He seemed fine on Friday and apparently he was OK on the way back but suffered a brain haemorrage just as they reached home. Although he was quite elderly, still a shock. The family can't decide whether or not to contact the bride on her honeymoon. Nasty dilemma. I'll always remember seeing him every day walking their dog down to the local park.

In other news, I got elected RST for the Southern Region on Saturday. I'd like to try to get round to all the games asap...With Cricket and my holiday, I probably won't be able to manage to complete that until the start of October. So, here's the travelling roadshow schedule

I'll try and get to all games early so people can buttonhole me if they want.
It's going to take me a while to get up to speed and longer to get the procedures and things I want in place. Work very much in progress.

Tired today. Long night on IRC. Feel more chipper than previously. Very worried about characters moods affecting mine. I think I have a pretty good separation of IC and OOC, but I've noticed some leakage in moods, especially from my Changeling character, in whom I have the most time and care invested.

I'm going to be all soppy and post some stuff about Heather, my fiancee!

Ok, where to start....She's fun and bouncy and upbeat and cheerful, but that's just the surface stuff she shows to the world. (It's true....but it isn't all). She's working to make my house into something like a home...she's become a really good cook... she persuades me to do things I wouldn't normally do but should (like washing up) and she prevents me from doing crazy dumb-ass things that I'd regret after (like staying up past 3:30 talking on IRC).
She tolerates the way I can get _really_ prickly and doesn't like hate me afterwards.
She can cook (as I cheerfully burn water, this is a never ending source of amazement to me)
She's diverting and unpredictable - which is good because fundamentally I'm staid and a bit of a routine merchant. She plans and looks forward to things rather than just lets them happen in a kind of apathetic laissez faire way.

Anyway, I'll stop embarrassing her now (there's no way she obeyed the injunction at the top of the post) and just say that I love her to pieces.
